I think it would be a good idea if we just have one stickied thread, because there are so many different posts with ideas. Please list in this thread your recommendations, either for best value, overall best quality, power usage, cooling ability, noise or anything else that you see fit. Plus, I would also just like to know for myself what's the best choice for my new D6000t.

Cooling guide in the guide's section is very good.

Thanks for the response mujtaba, but I've gone through the 6 page thread, and besides the 2 listed by the author, I have found two more within the whole 6 page thread. Conversely, I've found about 4-5 additional different recommendations within separate threads. Also, there's no such thing as a value/quality breakdown, which I would like and I'm sure other people would.

I suggest doing a google search for Lian-Li cooling pads, they are made of Aluminum, well designed, and cool very well.

Well, what is your price range? Looking for any other features--cool lights, USB ports, speakers?

The Targus Chillmat is pretty well rated.

The only one that has speakers, that I know of, is made by vantec. Zalman is also a good choice.

The Coolmax X has the ports and collapses.

Both Vantec and Zalman are reputable makers of notebook coolers. The Targus Tornado Chill Mat, is also pretty well rated, and cheap.

I personally use a Vantec Lapcool 2. I didn't need the hub, so the extra money wasn't worth it for me. This thing rocks! I don't usually have it on unless I'm gaming, then it turns on high. Low is fairly quiet, but I hardly ever use it. I plan on getting another one for my 360! The variable speed knob is nice though. A friend of mine has one that only has a high/low switch, the Lapcool 2 has a dial/knob that rotates to the exact speed you want.
