Recently in buying a new notebook, I made sure to buy one with the older kind of PCMCIA card slot, cardbus, because I have good soundcards for it, including the Echo Indigo, and there was nothing similar available for the new format, express card.

Well, now the good folks at Echo have come up with express card versions.

The Indigo DJ has two outputs.

The Indigo IO has an input as well as an output. The input (at least on my cardbus version) is not suitable for a microphone, however, but just for 1/8" stereo line-in. So, this card is not an interface for live recording. But for playback of music, including for serious work with digital audio, it is the best portable laptop solution around now. It should provide much better sound than the Creative Xi-fi card.

    Check it out--

Yeah, I think this has already been posted. IMO its sad that its taken this long for some one to release a decent product for the newer style.
