    Hi all,

My laptop's glossy screen is getting dirty. I heard some people just use cotton t-shirt w/ little bit of water, some people using tissue paper, some people using those microfiber cloth, some other people using specialty cleaner, etc

So what is the best way?

I preferred to have matte screen btw, but that just seems to be rarely.

    Thank you.

I always use a Microfiber cloth & myself (warm breath) applied to the screen & wipe gently..I wouldn't use tissue paper for fear of scratches... :)

Search the forum, there are a few threads of this nature already. But as Cin said, microfiber cloth is generally good enough.

    ^^Decently priced for 3.
And, sometimes you can get them for free from your local Eye Dr.'s office.

Hope those work out great for you :)

This. Actually I use same cloth as I use for my glasses, simple :) One at desk, one in my laptop bag.

My old dv9000 went to service few years back and returned with nasty circular scratches on screen, it was clearly cleaned with normal rough household paper (may contain tiny particles of sand, wood chips, whatever).

It's cheap and will clean anything from eyeglasses to laptop screens.

Mix equal parts of isopropyl alcohol and distilled water in a clean spray bottle. Do not use tap water or you will risk leaving streaks on your screen when you are finished cleaning it.

DAMPEN a microfiber cloth and clean away.

My screen has never gotten dirty enough to merit the use of anything except warm breath + a microfiber cloth, so that's what I use on my old Averatec (glossy) and my T500 (matte).

I simply used the spray and microfiber cloth I got when I bought a new pair of glasses. Got rid of my kids finger prints off the screen. :D
