I usually use a ShaggyMac between my screen and keyboard, which helped keep the keyboard and screen clean, but I have noticed that after I lost that, my keyboard is getting noticably greasier. There have been lots of discussions on how to clean the screen, but what about the keyboard. Some people suggest rubbing alcohol, but is there anything else? Sometimes I use my screen cleaner, but it doesn't cut it. Suggestions, tips, things not to do?

So wait, not compressed alcohol? Darn.

It sucks, but I actually had the keyboard on my computer get messed up tonight, so I might be buying a new one. Who knows?

rubbing alcohol works great. i've noticed that since i've worn down WASD smooth from gaming, when i wipe it with rubbing alcohol it get really grippy. windex also works, for everything.

generic CVS isopropyl rubbing alcohol... i suppose cheap vodka might work too. Windex does wonders though for general laptop cleaning.

yea, just any type of rubbing alcohol should work. i think theres 2 types though, like 95%, and 99% (correct me if im wrong). its just the concentrate of alcohol in the bottle. dont know if that would matter when trying to clean though

I use higher concentration for cleaning out the inside of my headlights because it leaves less dust and what not. for keyboards/computers anything is fine though higher concentration is desirable, always.
