This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Best/cheapest dock/port replicator?

    Looking for:
    • A few USBs (maybe some firewire too, not important really though)
    • VGA and/or DVI and/or HDMI
    • PS2 - I don't even know how common these are today, my current desktop is ~10 years old so that's what I use
    • Sound: At least stereo out
    • Ethernet

    Not that I'd buy something with extra (Printer/parallel - not important though), but I'd like at least s many of them as possible, and to keep it kinda cheap.

    Could you provide your notebook model? it may be compawtible with a dock may not be.

    USB or express card preferably, I want to use more than one laptop so a specialised one isn't the best

    targus has a few usb , i used one a few years back and it worked well . had usb , ps2, ethernet and vga . the belkin expess dock does not work well according to many .

    So far most docks havent worked out the only one that hasnt been really tested is the dynadock
