So I'm looking to get a 500 GB USB 2.0 external HD so I can connect it to my Xbox 360. That way I can access all of my h.264 movies on it locally and never have to worry about network connection stuff.

Anyways, I've been looking at both the Lacie F.A. Porsche 500 GB one and the Western Digital MyBook 500 GB drive.
The MyBook is $140 and the Lacie is $120.
Does anyone know of anything else that would be best?

Meh, ended up buying a Lacie F.A. Porsche 320 GB USB 2.0 one from Buy.com for $78 plus free ship, good deal.

    Good choice!

I have the exact same one, and it's great. It doesn't run too hot even when I leave it on overnight when I forget to turn it off, and it's not too heavy to be portable when I really need it to be, which isn't very often since I have a 40GB one to bring around with :D.
