The WD Passport and Seagate FreeAgent Go are good ones. Or you can get yourself any hard drive and get a decent enclosure for it.

    In the 3.5" realm:

WD My Book Essential 1TB Link

    WD Digital Elements 1TB Link

    or a

    WD Caviar Black 1TB OEM Drive ($100) + Esata/USB External Case ($15)

I have note looked into the 2.5" external drives because they were too small for my needs. WD usually has a 3 or 5 year warranty. Their RMA department is very helpful (personal experience) in getting you a replacement if you have any issues...quick. The external drives will be a bit easier as they are a package deal. The OEM drive/external case will require some further research. BTW, I am a bit of a WD supporter. If would also say that Toshiba has some great drives as I own a few as well.
