had my g5 for a few weeks and I love it. On the fly sensitivity change is great. The weight adjustments really do nothing for me, but it has a great feel. Hope you're a righty.

there is no "best gaming mouse," go to a local store and try some yourself. Wait for a sale, most online stores are cheaper than your local stores so wait for one of them to have a sale then buy the one you liked best from the online store.

Personally, i like my G9 even though it did take a few weeks to get used to (i had one of those small mice that comes free with your laptop before, the G9 is much larger than what i was used to)

There was some study done on here recently showing the best mouses with some sort of graph of something lol. rele vague i know. All i remember is that the mx518 came out on top over the g5 and deathadder and all those other popular mouses. I have a 510 rite now, had it for about 4 years, more. Wen this baby dies, im goin rite to the 518. Same perfect mouse, just a few upgrades. since u already have 500, i think ud love a new 518.

Logitech MX518 is a good, cheap gaming mouse.

But I quite like my Razer DeathAdder. It feels a lot more comfortable in my hands than the MX518. But it's a bit more expensive with fewer features, though it doesn't bother me in terms of lacking of some features.

+1 for the Razer Deathadder. It has awesome precision and has a wide range of DPI to fit different sensitivies of gamers. I use a MX518 at work and I liked the rubbery feel of the buttons much better on my Deathadder. It's an awesome mouse for palm grip or claw and the side buttons are larger making it easier to hit while gaming.
