I'll have lots of paper and pencils between me and the computer screen.

High resolution has never interested me because of the above- things just look smaller with higher resolution. Why would I ever want 1440p if the monitor is going to be 3-4 feet from my eyes anyway?

What'd be your best bet for a monitor probably 1080 p that you get good picture quality but has a good screen space/price ratio and is a simple one click to connect

Usecase: productivity, coding, MS office, web browsing

More than half of what I'll do will be in pencil and paper. Computer is just there for things like coding, googling, wolfram alpha, sometimes powerpoint

When I look at 40 inch + monitors on amazon, I see a large price range and am not sure what features or specs to look for. I'm also somewhat worried that some laptops like a thinkpad yoga i7 won't be able to handle a 40 inch monitor

I also imagine my ideal monitor to have virtual screens or at least understand that I want 4 quadarnts or 3 columns when I use windows button arrow keys to snap windows into place.
