After gaming with the cheap(ish) Logitech mouse that I've had for a while, I've decided to buy a G5 from best buy. I liked how it felt when I tried it out in the store, and it has tons of great reviews online. I don't, however, know what mouse pad I should get. Are any of the pads at best buy decent?
Just looking for some advice![]()
Thanks.

I use a square piece of cardboard, it's 73H 1337 PWNZ0RZ.

i use Steel Series QCK mouse mats, they're fairly cheap and awesome for the price
-
yeah the SteelSeries QCK mousepads are amazing.
Get this if you want one that's small enough to take with your laptop:

Get this one if you just want a huge one to leave on your desk:

Using a QCK on table and Razer Goliathus when travelling. -
I've heard great things about the Razor Exactmat, and have one in the mail coming my way. It has 2x usable sides. 1 for control and the other is highly sensitive to extreme gaming.

lol Jack, no one likes the gators..
And I had the Razor Exactmat for awhile. I usually only used one side of it, I cant remember which side it was. One side was just too crazy. lol -
Has anyone used the Rocketfish mouse pad?

It looks like the best one that best buy has. -
LOL
That's one of the funniest posts I've seen here, Jack. -
Has 2 sides, one for speed and one for accuracy or w/e
One side is pretty much flat and the other is a little more rough.
I bought it when I went home and didnt have my other, and it was at bestbuy. So yeah, if you want a good mousepad and can drive to bestbuy id recommend the rocketfish. -
I've read here that the Rocket Fish mouse pad eats the Teflon feet on mice like crazy. You might want to look into that a little more.

Soviet Sunrise Notebook Prophet
My vote also goes to the SteelSeries QcK mini.
-
If you use a laser mouse you only a flat surface.
Why spend so much money on a mouse pad? -
The Razer ExactMat and Rocketfish mousepad are decent, but the rough, textured "control" side on these will shred your mouse feet over time. The slicker "speed" surfaces don't do this.
I'm using a Thermaltake Gamma Pad right now. It's pretty nice...it's got a nice hard smooth surface, good surface area, and USB-powered color changing LED's.It's especially nice if you've got a case with LED fans or something.

my mouse works better without mousepad. It glides less (to my convenience).

deftanly the best -
well, don't game - but I will still notice if my mouse messesup.
I don't use a mouse pad - and it works very well, I think the invisible laser ones work better than the ones with a bright diode without a mouse pad.
Also, it depends on your environment. If you work at a table with a matte surface you don't need amouse pad.
If its a mirror or glass its essential (unless you have the old mouses wih the rubber ball, or one with a trackball)
Else, I used my bluetooth mouse on my trouser leg on the go - woollen trousers -and I used it for PP pesentations without any mouse pads.
Try without first - and nly buy a mouse pad if you feel your mouse is inaccurate. -
gamers need a good mouse pad so they can make precise moves and be quick/accurate.
giving a presentation isnt exactly the same thing. -
ive had good experiences with fUnc pads in the past. not sure how the newer ones perform though. now i just use the surface of my desk.
-
I use a Razer Goliathus (small) due to my travelling needs. You can get them in 3 diffferent sizes, 2 different surfaces (speed/control), they are well priced too. The Steel series Qck pads are a good alternative.
-
Wow, never thought I'd see another Goliathus user here.
If you go with the Deathadder/Mamba (top choices) then why not give them a Razer mouse mat to go with. They work so fine in cohession together and it won't make you guilty for excessive spending on a mouse-mat.

I've got one of those metal base/ plastic surface mousepads from Bestbuy. It is from ALLSOP.

razer exactmat user here.
i prefer to game on very low sensitivity, so the control side is perfect for me. i've been usin my pad for over 6 months now and my mouse's feet are still fine.
if u do game, i highly recommend u get a mousepad. it gives u more consistency cuz u won't be playin on random surfaces. i also believe if u are a gamer, u cannot reach yur full potential without a proper mouse-to-mousepad combo. u can fine tune the combo to yur exact playing style. -
I use this one

i game alot, and this thing is huge and perfect -
Well, I went out and bought the rocketfish a few days ago. I love it! Way better then using the mouse of my desk!
I haven't really noticed much difference between the "speed" and "control" sides of the mat though.
The pad is amazingly sturdy, being made out of aluminum, and it has really nice rubber grips on each corner to keep it from sliding too.
Best mouse pad?
