This will be my first notebook and I'm looking to get a cooler for it. Don't really want to spend over $50 if there are some good options under that price point.

What cooler would work best for this laptop? Here's a picture of the bottom of it.

    Dimensions & Weight
    Width: 14.12" (35.8cm)
    Height: 1.65" (4.5cm)
    Depth: 10.59" (26.9cm)
Weight: Preliminary starting weight at 6.33 lbs (2.87 kg)

Why do you want a notebook cooler? I can use my Inspiron 1520 on my lap and it is barely warm, I wouldn't think that a notebook cooler would do much.

I'm gonna see how hard I can overclock the 8600gt once I get it. Pretty sure a cooler would help my cause.

Theres plenty out there. Targus, Antech, Zaptec(i think). Look for Chaz's notebook cooling guide. There are a few that might be worth looking at.

Question: Is the Vostro 1500 going to be sucking air in from the bottom and blowing it out the sides, or blowing air out the bottom? There seems to be variations on this between notebooks.

Vantec and Zalman make good notebook coolers. Be sure to check them out.
