Funny that you are looking for the same thing as me! I just asked the same question on another forum a little while ago...

    http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=400371&t=879743

In the end, I went with the Samsung 22" ToC HDTV... Great deal from Costco for 379.99. Definitely has the best specs all though it's a little pricier than the other ones mentioned in the thread such as the Sceptre...

In my experience however, you cannot beat the quality of the Samsung...

    Hope that helps you out.

i would go to Costco, look at what they have

then go to slickdeals, join them, set alerts for LCD TV.... and pick a cheap one when a deal comes along(sometimes deals expire really quickly, but they are great deals!)

    Two pieces of advice:

    (1) Get a middle of the road brand if you are looking in the smaller range (20-32"). Just as 1080p isn't noticable at smaller sizes, you also aren't going to notice much difference if you go with a Westinghouse/Magnavox/Olevia over a Sony/Samsung/etc.

I would recommend looking on slickdeals or dealdetectives for LCDs. I picked up a 27" Olevia LCD about a year ago for only $425 shipped. Quality is great for HD over antenna and Xbox 360. Like I said, in terms of quality I don't notice much of a difference between my set and my parents' 52" Samsung LCD.

    (2) If you can wait, do so until November for Black Friday sales. You can get some absolutely crazy deals on HDTV's if you can wait that long. I'm talkin' 37" LCDs for the same price I got my 27".
