My 1530 has quite a few spots on the screen - what is the best product for safely cleaning it?

    Thanks! :)

I use LCD cleaner myself. Lol. I'm not sure exactly where it came from, but it says it's specifically for LCD screens. Oh, and a microfibre cloth.

i use a little alcohol on the cleanning tissue .. (those like napkins but smoother, sorry for my english :p). put alcohol on it, wait until it evaporates a little, so it isn't too wet and procede to clean it very gentel. worked pretty well so far, specially with finger prints. Be sure to remove the dust before anything, so particles won't scratch the glossy finish.

    cheers

    Microfiber cloth.....FTW.

And, you can also blow your own *air* on it & use the microfiber cloth!!!
The wipe it gently, with the microfiber cloth.

This is what the technician showed me, when he fixed my lappy several months ago!

    And, it works well! :)

    Cin ;) :)

I damp a tissue with a LCD cleaner, wipe with it over the display, then take a dry tissue or a microfiber cloth and rub it dry.

Slightly damp microfiber cloth is all I use, and my screens still look new. Always apply as little pressure as possible to avoid scratching your LCD.

50% isopropyl alcohol + 50% water + microfibre cloth. I use this to remove oil(from fingers) on all my screens.

I got a GE screen cleaning kit. Probably the same cleaner that all these kits use, a micro-fiber cloth and a very soft, long bristle, retractable brush. Carefully brush off the dust and then wipe with a dampened mf cloth. Glossy laptop looks better than new and my 3 LCD matte screens for desktops and my old matte laptop all look brand new.

I just get my old 100% white cotton t-shirts and then cut it up into a square and use distilled water. Thats pretty much it.

Alcohol + a bit of water. Pure alcohol can damage the screen.

I use a microfiber cloth, slightly dampened with water for the whole of my lappy. And it's beautifully clean.
