Only been a few months and already feels like my lappy gets hotter than it used to. I have a targus cooler. Wanted to know if things like Cans of Compressed air help. Any other suggestions welcome. =)

My suggestion would to be open your laptop and use the canned air to blow out all of the dust in the lappy.

Heh... Between you and me. I started smelling something electrical. But I'm hoping it was just me 'cuz it went away pretty quick. I felt the bottom of the laptop and it was as hot at my old p-4 lappy used to get. If not harder. I'll get me some canned air first thing tomarrow.

be careful to keep the can relatively upright. most contain a liquid propellant, which can spray out in liquid form if the can is tilted too much.

I would do like USAF suggested and take it apart (if you need the service manual for the 6000--> http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins6000/en/sm/index.htm )
I know with my laptop, i get a ton of dirt and dust in the fan comparments and it clogs everything up. -
I wouldn't say that you need to take apart your PC to clean and improve it's airflow. Check out this guide for a less invasive option; one of the better ones I've read.

Well... my I'm planning to replace my keyboard Monday or Tuesday (see Random Thread in OT for details.) So I'm thinking I'll just blow it out when I do that. BTW... thanks for the servce manual, and the article is very helpful.
Thanks. =)
Best thing to clean out.
