Something with the shape of the above more adjustable angles. Perhaps gooseneck style.
Would like to make videos of myself doing a problem or asking a question about a problem to show to students.
However I heard these
http://www.amazon.com/Ziggi-HD-High...9&sr=8-1&keywords=document+scanner+webcam#Ask
"Yes. But your frame rate will be affected by the size. Full 30fps is only available at 640x480, 1920x1280 delivers passable frame rates at 20 fps but above that it starts to get choppy."
What are your recommendations?
Are there any smartphone solutions for this? Ability to upload to dropbox automatically is ideal. But with a smartphone you would need some sort of clamp to be able to position the camera overhead. And then you would need some kind of software to be able to see the video on a monitor in front of you.
What is the cheapest and most effective way to accomplish recording solving a math problem to show to students? On paper- no digitizers allowed.
Being able to zoom in and adjust angles while recording would be fantastic. And recording my voice.

I did a research about this recently and ended up buying the Logitech C920 as it comes up on top of all reviews. Unfortunately, after initially installing it, after I reboot the system would no longer recognize it. I tried other USB ports, diff. drivers, no luck, happens on all OSes, Win 7/8/10
I then googled this problem and it seems it is a common problem with this webcam although I loved it when it works, the lens can move to follow you even and the image quality is superb, if only it worked.
So what I did is I bought a cheap $25 USD Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000 that has decent image quality and never fails to work like the Logitech.
PS: The logitech webcam driver even the recent one for Windows 10 is dated back to 2012. Seems like the company isn't even interested in properly updating its drivers:

Let's say you want an overhead view of the paper

How do you mount it so
1. shadowds aren't a problem
2. the camera doesn't fall down
How has your experience been with showing people what you are writing/math?
I've seen teachers on youtube post things like this b4- pictures and images of them solving problems. Sounds like a good idea + voice commentary while solving problemSpartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

2) IT never falls down, it clips firmly onto the top of the screen and can be adjusted to any angle you want
Here is a screenshot of some writing and how it fits:
PS: I use a webcam program called Cyberlink YouCam 7 in which you can actually make the webcam a mirror so the writing wouldn't appear backwards to the viewer. Not sure if the default Microsoft Webcam utility has that feature as I don't install it since I have YouCam 7 Deluxe

It doesn't look like a clip or look like it has adjustable angles
Am I looking at the wrong product?
Also did you get retail or business version and what's the difference? -
I bought the microsoft webcam you mentioned
Installed the driver on the website
If I go to "remove programs" then I can see Microsoft LIfecam
But I can't start find any actual icon to start Microsoft Lifecam. It is not under L or M in my all programs in metro or desktop. But I must have it installed because I can see Microsoft Lifecam if I go to "remove programs"
What can I do? I have Windows 8.1
Best webcam/camera to record yourself writing/doing math on paper?
