    my previous post

    "sager np 5796
    15.6 X 11.5 X 1.8

    next is the qosmio 18" !! :p
    17.8 X 12.2 X 1.9

i need a laptop backpack that can handel either. i need to buy a bag now so i might as well get the one that i will need later on.

    - i am a senior i high school so i need a bag that can last though college i need quality!!

    - Needs to fit these specs for a 18""

    - must have padding

_must have supporting straps my back tends to knot up and hurt easily so back padding too

    - i am a football player goig wrestling range from 220lb-280lb depending on the season im 6.4-6.5 (6.7) with boots yay )
so i can handle wieght..hopefully adn if i cant best way to know before i get the laptop is now.

-it has to look nice and not extremely big depth wise i dont want a suitcase on my back

    - it needs some sort of reinforcement on the bottom and maybe sides

-possibly weather resistant may go to north so snow or georgia so wet or humid

-PLANNIG ON A ENGINEERING MAJOR SO: may need to remember that i need room for books and separate compartment inside or out for utilities and ac adapter cord mk ill post what i have so far"

ive limited my search please dont suggest alienware backpcks i liek it but its a thief magnet with that logo, and no messenger bags.

out of these which bag do you think would be better to handle a oncoming college freshman and a desktop replacement laptop without killing my back currently 240lb-280lb 6feet 4-5 inches football build yay mk that said u cant compare weight unless your my size or near it.

I personally love the Wenger Swiss gear like for quality and style. The airflow back cushioning is so comfortable I've used my bag as a pillow various times. But I had some 15" laptop bag one I'm talking about. I think I have the last generation of this bag; cause the features are about the same, but my old one looks prettier

    Now with my new 17" I got this Superego bag; which is really good at protecting my bag; but as a messenger bag it don't got any of that back cushioning (of course); can't be used as a pillow! ;-;
But boy does this bag got style.

I have a Targus Flare for my Sager NP5791 and I love it. There is plenty of room left over after the lappy is in there. There is more than enough padding. (including a goodly amount on the back.)

The only thing I'm not sure about it, is weather it would fit the qosmio. What do you think?

I second anything made by Wenger, I own a Pegasus ( http://www.wengerna.com/browse/product.jsp?prod_id=11368&cat_id=16&cat_name=Swiss%20Gear&sub_cat_id=70) and I've held everything from 25 lbs of books to just about every electronic thing I own at once, and let me tell you even though you said weight is not important I'm only a little more then half your weight and I could barely tell it weighed anything. It's impossibly well built, the zippers are oversized and ridiculously strong (You couldn't get them to stick if you tried), and it has more then enough pockets (almost too many, I can forget where I put my phone) to fit everything at once.

The laptop pocket itself is designed for 17" widescreens but you can detach the strap that holds it in, so it would fit in the pocket and still wouldn't move unless you decided to do cartwheels or something. I'd suggest taking your laptop to a store that sells them (I want to Staples for mine, it was $90 but I had a gift card so cost wasn't a problem, decide for yourself in that respect) and trying it out.

The only downside is it's a bit big, but anything that will carry a laptop and everything else you own will be. I'd give it a 9.5/10; Wenger makes really well built products.
