I went to my local best buy today and they didn't have a single blue tooth mouse for sale (even asked two sales guys if the had any) which leads my to this post. Where can I get a blue tooth mouse (without that stupid usb thing) and what is a good brand. I would prefer to try the mouse in person before buying it. Can anyone help me out?

The Logitech V270 is an option.

Try online computer shops such as www.zipzoomfly.com and www.newegg.com. The Logitech V270 is indeed a good option.
There are surprisingly few Bluetooth mice for notebooks available . . . and none of them look that great (physically) in my opinion. If I had to pick one I'd get the V270. -

Thanks for the responses. I do find it odd that there are so few options, with many laptops having integrated blue tooth I figured there would be a bigger market for people who prefer no wires and no usb plug in component, but I guess not...

Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 8000
Microsoft Wireless Laser Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000
Logitech Bluetooth Cordless Optical Laptop Mouse (V270)
Kensington PilotMouse Mini Bluetooth® Mouse
Kensington Si670m Bluetooth® Wireless Notebook Mouse
Targus Bluetooth® Mini Mouse
Targus Rechargeable Bluetooth® Laser Mouse
Sony VAIO® Bluetooth® Laser Mouse VGP-BMS33
Best Buy should carry the 2 microsoft ones and some others. The sales people at BB don't know what they're talking about... they're not paid enough to know.
Good luck on your search! -
I had to give up my new Bluetooth mouse because it was part of the ASUS VX2 package, which I had to return today. I remember it being a Logitech mouse, with a Lambo logo, and I didn't know what model it was.
Thanks, now I can order it tonight! -

I have one more question, if a bluetooth mouse comes with a usb receiver and I have blue tooth in my notebook do I still have to use the usb receiver that came with the mouse or can I just use the one in my computer?

BT is not as popular cuz it is used mostly for headsets and cell phones. wireless mice and keyboards offer easier connection especially with built-in BT which can sometimes be annoying due to driver and application issues and compatibility.

I found that on my Samsung Q35 that having Bluetooth enabled when running on batteries caused a substantial decrease in the battery running time because Bluetooth reduced the time the CPU was spending in the C3 deep sleep state.
I don't know if this is also an issue with other brands of notebooks.
