I'm looking into getting a Bluetooth headphones for gaming. Currently I'm looking at the Motorola HT820's. I have a couple questions for people that know or have them.
1. How is the lag, if any. I want to be able to play FPS games as well as WoW on them.
2. Are there any drivers I need to install to be able to get the "no lag" experience.
3. (For any one with my laptop) Does my laptop, in my sig, support A2DP. I believe I need that to get the best possible experience.
4. What's the difference between these three http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Description=HT820 besides the color.
5. If any one else has another other suggestions.

I have a pair of BB insignia bluetooth headphones that I got off of ebay for $15 or $20 and they work great. I haven't tried the microphone on them but they sound good. The downside is that they are a one size fits all and are a little big for me but I am not complaining for the price.
Whatever you get make sure you set it to stereo. By default it connects as a headset and sounds like poo. -

Just as a FYI: There's a slightly cheaper version of those same headphones - the HS-1000
You might also want to take a look at the Plantronics Pulsar 590A/590E Bluetooth Headset(s) -

Pulsar 590 owner here, best bt headphones I have heard so far, and has the adapter for non bluetooth devices and also a cool docking station.

Loved the review btw. -
Uh, I've used my Motorokr S9's while gaming on my laptop. I'd probably go with something different if I were looking specifically for a gaming headseat. I bought these primarily for working out and listening to music.
I really just wanted to add that there's no lag and that you can be paired with your phone at the same time as gaming. So if anyone calls it mutes the game and allows you to answer the call. It's also nice because the remote functions on the side control Media Player and system volume. -

I plan on getting some S9's to pair with my phone for when I go do athletic stuff, I think that was there target group, people working out at the gym or running and things.
As for the 590's I got mine rather cheap, and I got the ones that come with the adapter to use with devices with no bluetooth. If you get the ones without the adapter its considerably cheaper.
However using them on vent or teamspeak while gaming is a mixed bag.
You have 2 modes for these things (and all headsets unless they let you have 2 connections at once wich I think I saw with a pair of creative headphones)
One protocol is A2DP this is the wireless sterio protocol its high quality sterio music and sounds great to me with no lag.
The other protocol is Hands Free (forget the actual protocal name) and thats for voice, it has mono voice quality sound to one speaker, and has the same for microphone.
You cant use both modes at the same time, so your going to have one speaker only with a lower quality audio, or have good audio with no microphone.
Like I said all bluetooth devices are going to be like this since there is no bluetooth protocl yet in exsistance that I know of that puts them both together as one, I am sure it will exsist at some point in time tho.
Now back to what I was saying, I do not remember what model it was (I think I mentioned it in my mini bluetooth review) but it was made to use with mp3 phones and would let you have 2 connections to the device. You would listen to music in stereo via A2DP, then if your phone rang it would automatically pause the music and swich to hands free and let you answer the call. Still tho not both at the same time.
The only thing you can do is get a seperate mic or deal with the poor quality audio of hands free mode. -
As for the cheaper version. Would you happen to have a link to it? I have bluetooth on my laptop and I think it would work perfectly with it. Would you happen to know how to find out if a certain bluetooth device is A2DP compatible? -

Any modern built in bluetooth has it, you would have to tell me what card you have and then look it up.
I have the BT-253 in my G50V. Broadcom card.
Bluesoleil tells you what your BT supports but not sure of any other BT software that does that.
As for the headphones. 590A = with adapter 590E = without adapter
Google shows me some reputable sellers letting the 590E go for about $60
