So after dropping and breaking my 5th wired headset in two years I decided to move to bluetooth. Now my biggest concern about a bluetooth headset was talk time, because sometimes I talk with my friends on vent from like 2pm to after midnight. I didn't think much about voice quality.
Well so I recently bought a Iqua Sun 603.
and a bluetooth dongleHTML:http://www.buy.com/prod/iqua-bhs-603-sun-bluetooth-wireless-headset-solar-powered/q/loc/111/206763723.html
Now this Headset works great on my phone pretty clear voice quality with only a little background noise, and you can hear the other caller much easier. But when I hooked it up to my PC, my primary use of the headset, the voice quality is terrible. I sound like I have a lot of static or background noise. Also on my end the sound coming over the headset is also pretty bad, always tinny and sometimes with lots of static.HTML:http://www.buy.com/prod/msi-star-key-bluetooth-usb-dongle/q/loc/101/201964379.html
I updated and installed the broadcom Widcomm stack drivers for the bluetooth dongle, and paired both my cellphone and my headset to Dongle.
I am running Vista 64 bit. I usually have 4 gigs of Ram, however one stick died and I had to send them both back to the manufacturer to have them Process my RMA. So now I am running on 512 megabytes of RAM.
Now is there anyway to resolve this issue, or is it a basic problem and should I return the Iqua sun, for another bluetooth headset? Does anyone else get this problem when using bluetooth with there PC, and have they found a solution's?
If it is just the headset I was thinking of returning it to get the Jawbone headset after its recent price drop. Does anyone have any experience with using this headset on the PC especially with Vent? I hope though I can make due with the 6 hours of talk time though.

Maybe try a different bluetooth stack, the MS stack, Toshiba, ect.
Also I would test it with a laptops internal BT or a friends desktop BT to see if you just have a poor dongle. I looked at your link and that one despite how expensive it was does not even have A2DP which is the stereo headset profile. It does have hands free headset tho which is what you would be using for voice communications. -
Thanks, I am downloading the Toshiba stack right now.
Is there any other way to test the dongle? I don't have internal bluetooth in my laptop, and I don't know anyone who has a bluetooth desktop?
Bummer to hear that about the dongle, I am quite new at bluetooth, and since I was in a hurry and had little time do research I ordered the one with good reviews on amazon.
If i return my headset should I return my dongle too? If so which new one would you recommend? -
The toshiba stack doesn't work because it doesn't recognize my USB dongle, it can't tell its plugged in. I think because it uses broadcom drivers. Any other suggestions?

Yeah check out my guide on the wiimote, there is a link to some other bluetooth stacks in there. Also the link to the usb bluetooth adapter I bought and use.
The only other thing I can think of is something causing interference around your computer to mess up the signal.
