Hey after a bad experience with my first try at a bluetooth headset and bluetooth dongle. I decided I should ask for recommendations from people who already use them.

My first concern is Voice Quality.
My second biggest concern is battery life. I can talk on vent for a long time, however I usually have breaks between these sessions.

Anyone who uses a bluetooth paired headset with there PC, can you tell me what you use and if you would recommend it?

If you have concerns about quality avoid bluetooth go wired.

I have gone wired in the past, however I am very absent minded and tend to someone break them, by getting the wire caught after which it breaks, or they crash to the floor. I had to replace quite a few like that.
I try to be careful and it works for like 3 months, then I relax and break them soon after.

Also I would like to be able to use my headset with my new cellphone, so Bluetooth in my case makes the best sense.

I have used my phones bluetooth earpiece on my computer but just to toy around I have not actually used it in a game or something.

Quality seems OK from what I heard when recording to a .wav file using windows sound recorder and sound coming in is not so great, using bluetooth as a headset is an older mono only 1 speaker thing that is fine to listen too but not great.

Fear not tho if your going to be using Vent/Team speak tho you can do exactly what I used to do with my plantroincs DSP500's.

You can have the game sound going thru the laptops/computers sound card to your speakers, but have vent going thru the bluetooth to the headset and use it only for voice, and thats what this protocol is made for is voice quality so things suddenly are not that bad.

A2DP is the stereo headphones protocol, it sounds great to me nice quality stereo sound, but this is for listening only and thus while in this mode no microphone, so you would need another mic.

Or wait for somebody to be smart enough to make a pair of bluetooth headphones that double pair. It will pair the microphone and speakers seperatly. The speakers in A2DP for high quality stereo and the mic on the hands free. I would think something like this already exist but I just do not know of it.

Isn't there a site that offers bluetooth reviews? I remember looking at one a while ago, and I think I got the link from somewhere on these forums

    Consider the Plantronics Discovery series.
