I'm having troubles installing a bluetooth mouse on my laptop. They "pair up" and Windows Vista starts installing it. It gets listed on the "Human Interfaces Devices" in the Device Manager. Then right before it's done installing, I get a listing for an "Unknown Device" and a pop up message that says:
"Found New Hardware - Unknown Device
Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.
USB Browser Mouse - An error occurred during installation of the device.
The driver installation file for this device is missing a necessary entry. This may be because the INF was written for Windows 95 or later. Contact your hardware vendor. If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit it's website and check the support section for driver software."
The place where I bought it hasn't responded to any of my emails. All I know about the mouse is that it made by the MLK Corp. and has an ALLTEK Chip and firmware #1.41. Google search didn't show anything for it.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

have you tried updating your bluetooth drivers?

Yes, I did. I had an older BT module from a HP installed that worked with my cell phone as dial-up modem when I couldn't get broadband. Then I got the BT mouse and couldn't get it to install. I bought the right BT module for my laptop, thinking that was the problem. I uninstalled the old and installed the new and I'm pretty sure I got all of the updates possible and still have the same problem.
