I believe that is the retail box. MS has gone away with the real fancy boxes and just releases these box types these days.

From what I've heard about Bluetooth mice, it takes a bit to recognize after it's gone into a power save mode. Usually after moving the mouse, it'll wake up, but takes a bit to re-sync with the base (adapter).

This is the mouse I use, I prefer it over the Logitech alternative.

Do you use this with the dongle that comes w/ it or do you have bluetooth built in? I have it built into my laptop and figured it'd work, but just wanna make sure. The last thing I want is something hanging off the side all the time.

Interesting thread, I was curious though - Would I be able to use the bluetooth dongle that comes with the mouse as a bluetooth device since my current laptop doesn't have an integrated bluetooth device? If so, I plan on purchasing one myself.

Yes, I use the dongle in my port replicator. It should work fine with your internal card, but Bluetooth is far from precise in that manner.

JB - yes, the dongle adds Bluetooth to your machine.

    Hey guys,
I'm not a huge fan of microsoft as i just broke my Microsoft Notebooke wireless mouse and had to go out and buy a new mouse. I never physicaly Damaged the mouse but it just started not to work. I'm now using the Logitech MX1000 Laser mouse. And OMG this mouse is blowing me away right now! Awsome mouse and well worth the money. Although i must say there are some points where i dont like.

I went ahead and won one on a auction at eBay. $37.50...small price to pay to see how this works. I've always owned Microsoft mice and keyboards and have had nothing but luck, so I'm just hoping Xplodin is just an isolated case.

I have heard a lot of people enjoying the Logitech though! Great mouse.

Got the mouse, it's really nice, comfortable and it hooks up easy as hell w/ the built-in bluetooth on the zv6000 laptop!

What kind of battery life are you guys getting on this mouse?

This is the mouse I'd get for my R4000, but the scrollwheel doesn't have notches. I can't live without the notches :(
