Bluetooth Mouse VS Wireless Mouse w/ mini usb receiver
So i am looking for a laptop mouse however I havent decided if I want to go bluetooth or mini usb wireless. I use to have a Mogox54 however after having to reconnect everytime I wanted to use it via Bluetooth it kind of got annoying and I gave up on it. What do you prefer and why?

I love my Dell Bluetooth mouse. Even with a micro USB receiver, you still have to sacrifice one of your USB ports, which are generally not too abundant on laptops. With Bluetooth all you need is the mouse itself.
And you shouldn't have to reconnect every time you use the mouse...at least, mine doesn't. -
Yeah, I heard the Dell bluetooth mice work great. But I like Logitech

I wonder if anyone's actually benchmarked the performance of both. However, based on most user feedback I've read regarding Bluetooth mice from other forums, they seem to have a bit more lag than standard wireless mice and like your Mogox54 will often sleep when not in use or if the signal is lost.
However, Mastershroom has recommended the Dell Bluetooth mouse and Dell may have probably improved on the Bluetooth technology compared to earlier models from Kensington and Logitech so I'd give that a try.
And if you're willing to spend $60 for the new Logitech M555b, why not add another $20 to get the Razer Orochi? Seriously man, I'd get that if I was in the market for a Bluetooth mouse. It comes with a cool carrying case and the design is awesome. And if the Bluetooth will ever fail you (which most likely won't), at least the Razer can work via Wire as well. -
I had a logitech bluetooth mouse and I preferred wired because I got fed up with bluetooth.. Now I have a wireless usb mouse with a nano receiver and it is better that both.

yep bluetooth mice are bad had to repair mine every time i hibernated the computer or after 2 hrs of use. i went through two till i took it back for a logitech wireless nano usb. altough its only optical so im probs gunna swap it for a MS one...
dont get a bluetooth mouse (or at least not untill they have worked out how to get them working properly) my MS bluetooth mouse didnt even have drivers... -
I have to give another thumbs up to the Dell Bluetooth Travel Mouse... I really like it. It's the perfect size for my hands, being that its a little larger than my previous wired "travel" mouse... yet still plenty small enough that I can take it with me easily. It has no connection issues with my laptop, its always connected even when waking up from sleep or hibernation. Might not be right for everyone, but I certainly like it! Oh, and it works on all surfaces with no problem as well... mouse pad, directly on the desk, arm of the couch, and right now on my bed
Just my .02... -
Wireless USB is my choice. I've been using a MS Notebook 4000 for years. I will be buying the MS Wireless 6000 when I have the cash.

Paid $20 for a Rocketfish brand BT mouse. I sync-ed it once. Now it just works whenever BT radio is on. No problems, no regrets.
I wouldn't claim it's suitable for gaming or other delicate work. But for general use, it's just fine. -
I use a cheap Microsoft Bluetooth Explorer mouse that I got for $30 with a keyboard. Nothing too amazing. Works well, keeps itself sync'ed at all times with the Dell Latitude D830 BT radio, and I never have to worry about an external USB dongle going missing.

I *bounce* between both a BT Mouse & a Nano Receiver one..I have no problem with either!
They are both quick & easy to use on my lappy & netbook...it's just personal choice for me!
Depends on my mood, at that time.....

I vote for the Bluetooth mouse if you have internal Bluetooth for your laptop. I love the dongle free clean connection. I have had very good luck with Bluetooth mice.

I've had great experiences with the Dell bt travel mouse. It's connected whether I turn the computer off, hibernate, or stand by. I can even use the bt mouse while accessing my bios.
