Do Bluetooth Stereo Adapters provide decent sound over a good midrange system?

Are you trying to stream music across your room, or to a pair of Bluetooth headphones? It is going to have a major difference.

I hear the sound fidelity is decent (remember decent is just barely OK for the audiophile) but a lot of this is going to also depend on how compressed (lossy) your files are. Low compression ratios will not have the "noise" that higher compressed files will have.

BT has a limited range as well, usually around 30 ft. Something to consider. I believe there are WiFi options that are going to superior in quality and range for what you are looking for. Anyone that own an amplifier cares a bit about how their music sounds. :)

WiFi huh. Thanks for the info, I didn't even think of a range limit. As for compression I try to stay away from it. I use "near redbook" on Napster.
