I am about to purchase a Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR Class 2 USB dongle to be used with a Sony Bluetooth MP3 player and Sony Bluetooth headphones.

So far I have gleaned some information on Bluetooth USB dongles after reading a previous thread on this forum:-

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=220626

How important is the main chipset used in the dongle, I have come across the following chipsets:-

    Broadcom BCM2045

    CSR BC04

What is the preferred Bluetooth software, the Broadcom chips uses Widcomm software and the CSR chip uses BlueSoleil software.

At the moment I'm interested in this Bluetooth dongle:-

My main interest will be transferring MP3 files between the PC and the Sony player, are there any recommendations for a dongle that might perform better with MP3 files?

    Cheers - Agzee

Thanks for the replies will just choose a dongle from a manufacturer who has a good support service on their website.

Noticed that one manufacturer mentions that "Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba" can cause crashes when running that particular companies "Flash Update Wizard software".

They recommend using the "Microsoft Bluetooth Stack" I assume this is easy to install if I had to switch to it?
