im also in the market for a laptop mouse (and keyboard, i think / package deal?), so would love to hear some feedback!

this might be a stupid q, but what's the reason for using bluetooth instead of normal wireless?

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS.

Well, I saw the Logitech Nano which looks amazing, and the wireless dongle is small, but I'd rather have a free USB port, and why have bluetooth not to use it??? XD I dunno, maybe I'll just go with the Logitech Nano, but I just wanted to hear feedback on bluetooth mice and how they are. Thanks anyways.

With normal wireless, you need to stick in the ugly extra receiver to the USB port. With Blue-tooth, no need to stick anything to your notebook. All you have is the Blue-tooth mouse communicates directly to your Blue-tooth enabled notebook.

    I have Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse 5000. http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Blu...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1199021515&sr=8-1
I like it because it uses 2 AAA batteries instead of heavier AA batteries. Feel much lighter than my old logitech model. It works with my wooden desk. My old logitech model has a problem with the wooden pattern on my desk.

Simple to install. Just let your Bluetooth software search for new device. It should find it automatically. Long battery life. I have left it on for 2 weeks and it's still kicking. I think it has auto shut off feature which will turn it self off if you leave it idle for half an hour or so. It also has a third button that you can use as a back button for your browser. The only downside is you can't reassign the button.

I bought this one. I says it recharges while you use it. It seems like a nice mouse. I have only had it a few days. Sometimes there is a small lag when you first move it until the pointer reacts. Other that that I like it.

The Targus mouse is crazy annoying to me. Every time I leave it sitting there for twenty seconds, e.g. as I'm typing this, it's turning off. When I go back to it, I have to shake it until it comes back online. I'm all for power saving, but I think it should take longer than half a minute before it does so.

Excellent mouse. I had the MS 8000 (BT, doubles as a powerpoint presenter) but did not like that it had no "click" when you used it. Found myself pressing harder than I needed to. The 5000 is infinitely better.

Purchased the Microsoft 5000 as well. It's a great mouse, tad smaller than I expected, but works extremely well.

Does anyone know if this mouse has an auto sleep mode feature? Because I turn it off after I'm done using my computer and everytime it takes a while for it to reconnect after I turn it back on

have those connection issues been fixed?
the random disconnects. the need to wiggle the mouse for it to respond? the need to turn the mouse on and off to get it detected again?

Has anybody tried the Bluetooth mouse that is made (well, at least branded) by Dell that you can choose under 'bluetooth' options when configuring a Dell laptop?
