Okay, my laptop should arrive late this month or early next. It's an ASUS Z96J with bluetooth. I'm looking for an external mouse and keyboard, ideally ones that are fairly portable; I'd primarily use these while travelling but I'm not willing to sacrifice everything on the alter of size. Laptops come with keyboards and trackpads, after all.

My brother believes bluetooth is pretty much the answer to all the problems in the world so he'd be happier if I got a bluetooth-enabled mouse and keyboard. This is not a requirement, however, but if it isn't a compromise, it's what I would prefer.

On my desktop, I have a Razor Diamondback mouse and this works really well for me. It's not wireless but apart from that, would seem to be a decent portable mouse. I use a Microsoft Digital Media Pro keyboard and this is simply too big for a portable keyboard. If I'm to pick up an external keyboard, I want something much more portable.

I'll be using the laptop for software development, gaming (primarily stuff like Civ4, GalCiv2, but occasionally Battlefield 2 and the like), and movie watching.

    I'd appreciate any recommendations.
