Can more than one bluetooth device be used at any one time?

I've had random loss of connection with the Logitech V470 Bluetooth mouse and had to spend a few minutes restoring it. Maybe it's the computer not the mouse, but it's annoying and the BT mouse has gone into the drawer. The Nano has behaved impeccably. If you have a spare USB port then I think it's the better choice.

Ok in that case the Logitech VX Nano looks appealing... but important question about the super-scroll feature.
How do you switch between clicks and frictionless? I read somewhere that you press the wheel, but that means I lose that as a middle mouse button?
anybody know?

You will lose the middle wheel functionality but in fairness to Logitech there is a programmable button just behind the wheel that can compensate for the loss. The way you switch between modes is by pressing down on the wheel. It gives a very firm click, you can't accidentally do it. I recommend the VX Nano wholeheartedly but I would ask you to try to give the Nano a shot 1st if youre not used to small notebook mice as I'm feeling a bit of strain from the size after heavy use.
As for using BT combos or BT versus RF please bear in mind that if you are using Vista the standard MS drivers are so bad that whoever programmed them should have been summarily executed for their crimes. If people are experiencing loss of connection intermittently another BT stack may help but thats at your own risk. XP has shown more maturity in this area but I have found OSX to be the most stable (haven't had the pleasure of trying linux).
BT may also suffer interferrence which will lead to slowing down of data transfer + error correction = lag. IF you can apare the USB port as mentioned above the VX Nano is the way to go. -
Does anyone recommend an "equal" Bluetooth mouse -
That's too bad... I would be using it for 3D animation (which uses the middle mouse button quite a bit) on linux (which I doubt supports the extra button programming...) In the pictures there is a little button in the middle which I presume is the one you're talking about. it has a magnifying glass icon on it which with it's location makes me think it should have done the job of switching scroll modes... oh well. I'll probably get it anyway and find a solution.

Any important reason I should get the revolution over the nano? I like the receiver on the nano much more of course... any other considerations? I don't think the slightly different shapes are going to make that much difference...

another idea, the V450 is a bit lower end quality but has the balance of tiny receiver and middle mouse button! I don't really need the super-scroll...
anything really wrong with this mouse? -

I tried to install bluesoleil and the system hardware detector said it was compatible with my hardware but when I went to install it the installer fails every time
Its on my to do list to try a few different versions to see if I can get one to work. -
Thats the amazon article - did anyone have some similar experiences?

1.0 out of 5 stars Fatal Design Flaw! Causes Damage to your laptop!!, May 24, 2008
By MW "Mon****" (Lexington, Ky, USA) - See all my reviews
Stay away from this product. The USB receiver (the part that plugs into the USB port on your laptop) gets permanently stuck due to a design flaw.
Don't take my word for it. Search on Google for "Logitech VX Nano gets stuck". You'll come across dozens of links to people having the same issue. The same problem is posted on logitech's own support website.
I called Logitech and explained that the USB receiver would not come out and that hundreds of others had a similar issue. The person helping me admitted that even his own supervisor had the same issue and had to destroy his USB port and receiver because the receiver had gotten stuck. Logitech doesn't want to admit that this is design flaw and recall the mouse.
Buy this product at your own risk. Once you push it in to the USB slot chances are it won't ever come out, not without serious damage to both itself and the USB port. Please do the google search as I have recommended above and learn from the bad experiences of others. -

Thanks for the info Jakob91. I haven't experienced any issue on my MBP which is always boiling hot = usb post expands and could trap the receiver. Saying that I have only had it a week and I may just use the extension cord from now on if I'm using it as my desk. Thanks again.

It comes with a little extension cord/docking station and a little zip-up body bag to keep in while travelling. Its actually a nice little package for the money IMHO.
