    Hey guys,

I recently purchased a Vostro 1500 and am having lots of trouble deciding between the Booq Boa.XM ( http://booqbags.com/s.nl/it.A/id.88/.f?sc=2&category=505) and the Mobile Edge Premium Backpack ( http://www.mobileedge.com/items.asp?cid=3&scid=3&pid=5). Obviously there is a huge price disparity between the two and the mobile edge seems much larger than the Boa.

However, the Boa provides a sleek look with a separate compartment and zipper for the laptop. I do plan on bringing a water bottle when I go to school/work and am looking for something that can hold a water bottle, my laptop, a binder, 2 regular writing notebooks, and possibly a book. Now this may sound like a stretch for the Booq bag but it can be done and it'll be a tight squeeze. Anyone have any ideas on the issue? Any comments would be great. Thanks!

I was looking at the Booq Python and Mobile Edge Express bags (similar to those you are considering), but ended up going with the Oakley Flack Pack. It might not be exactly what you want (no water bottle), but its worth a look I think.

    Hey KelchM,

Thanks for the feedback. Do you have the Flak Pack now? I'm curious if the backpack has any special padding for the laptop space? I was kind of interested in buying the Northface Surge until I found out that the laptop space in the backpack has no padding whatsoever and is just a space. Is this the same with the Flak Pack? Thanks again.

I got that Mobile Edge bag. I've had it for two years, and I really like it. Your requirements will fit the bag just fine. I would give it a thumbs up!

    hey ccbr01,

thanks for the advice! I am really liking the mobile edge premium backpack as well. I was wondering a few thigns about it however. The laptop compartment isn't a compartment on its own right? Does your laptop ever get scratched by your books or anything if it is in the same compartment as the main compartment?

I guess now I am struggling with either the Mobile Edge Premium Backpack or the Oakley Icon 2.0. Any other things you want to say about the Mobile Edge? Thanks again!

I just received the shipping notification from Oakley yesterday. I'll post a quick review once I get. I'll shoot you a pm with a link then too. :)

it has it's own sleeve to fit in. I have pictures from a really old thread that I'll put on here (taken with my camera phone). http://tinyurl.com/2x4gmq is the post that has the pictures.
