    Hi everyone,

I'm most likely purchasing a Toshiba R705 (or the R830 when it comes out) or an Asus U36 for use during medical school in the fall.

I've been looking for a well-made laptop backpack that is slim, yet holds the notebook securely. I also need space for a notebook or maybe a textbook.

The Brenthaven MetroLite seems perfect, but the review on YouTube makes the bag look quite large (width and length). Sorry, the guy in the video is pretty annoying..."iPhone four dot oh"...

Since my notebook is only a 13.3", is there a backpack similar to the MetroLite but made to specifically hold smaller notebooks?

The MetroLite seems like the perfect backpack. I just wish it was a bit smaller.

    Thanks!

Check out the Targus A7 notebook backpack, it's pretty small in size compared to others and very well built.

Thanks! Looks like Fry's Electronics carries the Targus A7 so I'll go have a look at it next time I am there.

Does any retail store sell the Brenthaven backpack? Maybe I'll try the Apple store since Brenthaven seems to be marketed mainly to Mac people.
