    Hi,
so basically, I'll need a headset for my new Sager machine and I'm lost.I have almost no experience with headsets and no clue what to look for.

The only thing that really caught my eye is the Logitech G35 because it provides 7.1 surround sound and looks really cool, but frankly, I can't afford it. I can't afford anything at the moment to be honest, but my old desktop headset was killed by my chair's wheels long ago.

The deal is that I'd like something with good sound that isn't too expensive, if nothing comes close, I'll fork up the cash somewhere for the G35, but I'd really rather pay something around the $50 mark or even less.

Looking forward to any suggestions. :)

Thanks for these guys, they are definitely more affordable than the G35, I'll have a look at them and will probably choose whichever one I find for a lower price.

+1 for Plantronics. I've had my GameCom 777s for about a year now, and they're still holding up well and sound great. Excellent value for a $40 headset. If something happens I'll definitely pick up the 780s.

What about this model? GameCon 307

I was also looking at this: Creative Fatal1ty

I also forgot to mention one thing, I'll be living with 4 other friends blasting annoying music, watching TV and yelling at each other all the time, so noise canceling is quite important to me. I know that at this price, I can't expect something great, but I would really like to limit outside noises.

I didn't find a reliable enough store in Canada selling the GameCom 780, so either I'll get one of these cheap ones from Tiger Direct, or if they just don't compare, I'll wait till September and will grab the 780 back in Europe, which will also get me a 2 year warranty.

So what do you guys think? Is the wait worth it? Or is the Fatal1ty or 307 good enough.

I'll just chime in (though a little late) that the 377 is awesome. I got mine for $35 brand new from Amazon, I think. Or was it eBay. It's perfect.

I like over-ear, so for $45 my Creative Sound Blaster Alpha's are pretty awesome. Comfortable, mic works well and it has USB as well as the 3.5mm for more flexibility.

The creative headphones in this post have worked well for me for quite a few years. They don't obviously sound as well as my grado headphones but they are comfortable for long gaming sessions.
