If you game at all, the Razer DeathAdder is top-notch for $45. It's black with blue illumination on the logo and scroll wheel, but you can disable the lights if you like.

Otherwise, the classic black Microsoft wired optical mouse is like $15.

I've owned both the original 2007 1,800 DPI model and the newer 3,500 DPI refresh. It's definitely one of my favorite mice. Tracking is smooth as ice, and it's an extremely comfortable shape. Very lightweight, too, which I like.
