Hi all. Bear with me - bit of a noob. I won't be building it - sending the bits to my brother :p Need to ask as my bro's internet back at home is down.. maintenance or something

Is this the right kind of hard drive,
to pair with this kind of caddy?

Bit of a noob when it comes to connections for caddies and hard drives. If either are "wrong", please explain and show me alternatives, preferably from same site (current google checkout spend £30 save £10 deal!)

N.B. I am in UK. No Newegg links!!! Thank you in advance :)

Thanks. Seems kinda obvious now :p No reviews for the caddy, so I'll take a leap of faith there :p

This post is for people who do forum searches and would like to find a 2.5" sata enclosure/caddy in the UK. They're like gold dust it seems

Unfortunately ebuyer link above out of stock, but found one here at microdirect. Not the most stylish, but beggars... and they are legit. Nice store back in my home town of Manchester and have always been friendly

Pata disks are normaly cheaper and the enclosures too. So if you want to save money i would recomend getting a different disk and the enclosure from the original post.
    this one would work link

Thanks. Coincidentally, my brother asked me to buy that one for him (I'm giving him a present for no reason!)

Me: Why didn't you tell me about this non-Sata last week?
Him: *mumbles* I dunno. I thought you knew
Me: Did you read my email?
Him: Ain't got time for that. 24/7 world. Got stuff to do

There's no point in getting a SATA HDD & caddy if the enclosure isn't Firewire or eSATA (and those 2 are rather expensive). Throughput on USB 2.0 isn't worth the extra money.
