My new Inspiron (w/ the generic Dell soundcard) has lousy speakers, so I figured I would get headphones to listen to some music; however, when I plug the headphoens in, they buzz and fuzz like crazy (almost the sound you get w/ broken headphones); they play music fine, but when music is not playing, they buzz like crazy and it's driving me nuts!

    Suggestions?

I have heard that it could be the modem on the laptop that can cause this.
