    I have U36S without CD/DVD burner/reader. Can anyone recommend one for me? Anything with blu-ray goes over $50 bucks so I am kind of ruling that out. Thanks in advance.

    I've come across Lite-on as well as Rosewill. I was just curious if there are any "go-to" cd/dvd burner. Thanks invisigoth.

    I would personally avoid Lite-on. Cheap garbage as far as I'm concerned. Sony and Samsung make good stuff though, that's been my experience.

    Looks like these have been discontinued, but for a time they were faves of techies buying notebooks that did not have internal drives. I still have mine and it has been rock solid. Looks like they have been discontinued but I reckon even new ones still in the box could be found on eBay, if not just used ones in really good condition:
