Amazon.com: Cooler Master Storm QuickFire Rapid Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with Red CHERRY MX Switches (SGK-4000-GKCR1-US): Computers & Accessories

I have been looking at this mechanical keyboard for a while now because I have heard that the quality is similar to that of a Filco and it offers a solid price. It would be my first mech keyboard but I think I would benefit from it when writing papers for class and gaming on the side. I might buy it for my desktop and take this cheap Logitech keyboard to school every day. Does anyone know if this is a good alternative to a Filco or Leopold?

I am 99% sure I would want the red switches that are on this model but does anyone know a good place I could visit to try out the keys on mech keyboards? I know Best Buy has Razer Blackwidows but they are only blue keys.

Find somebody that lives near you with one is prob the best bet, though now that that keyboard is sold in stores you may find one on demo or can get one and demo it yourself and return it if its not your liking, not that I condone doing that.

I have used all 5 of the main switch types, clear, red, blue, black, brown and I prefer the reds for both typing & gaming.

I do use the blues @ work for data entry though where I type tons of data from one source to another without looking at my screen, the click/sound helps me know I never missed a key, or rather sometimes hit a key that I did not want to hit.
