Basically my room has got some low end LCD TV, and I was wondering, do these TV's have DVI or Analogue connections?

Depends on the TV. An LCD TV could have both or neither. Just look at the back of the TV for the VGA (analog) input, if your not sure what it looks like just look at your computer. If the TV has a DVI connection most likely it could be used as a display for your computer but there are some TVs that have DVI connections that can't be used for computer displays. You could also look the TV model specs up on the net. Finally there are some set out with HDMI connections that can be used as computer displays but they require an HDMI to DVI converter to do it. I've only seen this on plasma TVs though.

Look for an S-Video input first.

It is sure to have S-Video.

Yes - if your notebook has DVI, then I'd definitely use that, much better quality than S-Video...
