i bought a 175watt converter to run my Asus c90s in my car, but it quit working after about 4 hours. i looked more closely at it and it saw that it was rated at 1.3amps max, and the charger for my laptop is rated at 1.5amps. this converter i bought was the best one they had at circuit city, so i was hoping someone could point me in the right direction for a sufficient converter. thanks.

Hmm strange watt = volt x amp

so if it had enough watts and the biggest c90 adapter is 120w and the volt should be a constant... it should have enough amps.... I think.

Anyways you can check places like newegg.com frys.com see if they have one that fits. I have not got one yet but I was just going to pick one up at walmart I think they have like a 250w model there for a decent price.

We have had some pretty good ones posted here on the forums recently for a good price but I do not remember where the product was being sold. You can try a forum search for "car adapter" or "power inverter" also try google too.

Are you sure the actual inverter stopped working, and not just your power source blew a fuse or something? Those car cigarett lighters only handle so much, thats why the larger inverters are connected directly to the battery.

I got a 90 watt power adapter from best buy, I think it was a Targus one, Wich came with a car adapter for it. My old Jensen power inverter also powers my c90s using the 120w power adapter just fine.
