I wondering if there are any cases available to store/protect modular bay accessories, like the hard drive tray, secondary battery ... etc. or what else people use to protect them on the go.

The thing I have heard of most is people buy pieces of foam to put in a case of some sort, and cut out holes for the pieces. If you buy layers you can tailor it pretty well. I don't travel with my CD drive much, so I don't worry about it.
