Hi I am looking for a mouse for my notebook.. but am confused a lot with all the wired/wireless optical stuff etc, etc..
I have prepared a chart so that people can rate the performance on High/Medium/Low based on the experience with each of the technology..
(dunno why the chart is going at the end of the page though ...??)

i have the microsoft laser 6000 mouse (850dpi). there is no lag, battery life is about 6 months on daily (12-16hr usage) and i find it fine for gaming. its a perfect mouse imo.

You could include size, and weight too. I have a small mouse, and i hate it, but otherwise it works fine. And although most mice aren't heavy, you never know. Also, maybe a features section in case you want those forward/back buttons on it like most do nowadays.

does anyone have v220/v320 logitech mouse ? may be i want to check those options too before finalising one...

V220's DPI clocks in at like 600 so it'll be slow for gaming purposes. I used one until i gave it to my aunt. If you want a portable small mouse for gaming, can't go wrong with Logitech VX Revolution, I use that now and i love it. High DPI + small doggle that stores away in mouse when not in use. Auto Sleep without lag like the V220 had for me. I also used a V400 laser, and even though it seemed good but the auto sleep feature would have a half second delay.

whats your criteria? ...cost? performance? looks? looks performance? -
In general optical mouse is good for gaming and laser mouse is good for working on differenct surfaces....
Bluetooth is good for ordinary user who takes out his notebook with him presentations. -
thanks all for your suggestions..
I don't want to spend more than 30$ on this... for me performance and battery is the prime factor... let me know ur thoughts dude.. -
Even for enjoying occasional gaming you should buy normal sized mouse and not those small notebook ones .....Buy mouse of Razer brand...Razer makes some really cool mouse and they are the best in market for gaming... microsoft outsources to these guys btw...
Razer copperhead and Razer Krait....these two will fit your budget and are not that big.
Just for your knowledge they are optical. (optical is best for gaming as they dont skip frames) -
.. seems a gud option... will chk those mice right away...

Your chart has some issues, you are separating things incorrectly. You can't compare optical to RF, its like apples to Ferrari's. They aren't even in the arena. So, this would be better:
Connection Sensor Size Weight Lag Other
Wired Optical
RF Optical
Bluetooth Optical
Wired "Laser"
RF "Laser"
Bluetooth "Laser"
Wired "Ball"
RF "Ball"
Bluetooth "Ball"
Sorry about the spacing, but you can imagine what it should look like -
