I'm considering getting a 17 inch laptop, so that means I'll also need a new backpack. I don't want to pay a fortune on this backpack, but I still want something that is durable and looks decent.

    Any suggestions?

Keep an eye on the dell sales, they usually have their backpacks on sale.

The Belkin 17in has been on sale for like $20, among other cheap ones.

Good to know. I should also just add that it should be able to fit some books/folders along with the laptop.

    What's your price range?

I got the Targus XL Backpack TXL617 and I've been using it ever since.

    Very spacious. >:]

Don't really have a budget, just want it as low as possible. The targus would be great, but is there anything that costs a bit less? I don't care for extravagance. I just want it to carry my books/laptop from point A to point B and last 4 years. :)

Jansport! I used to put my M17x R2 in a Jansport bag.

This is a great bag if you don't need a lot of extra space. I have used this and the same thing (only the messenger version) and both were great for traveling. I prefer them easily over a big backpack for flying.

Anyone know of good deals that I can buy in-store? I have the standard Bestbuy, Staples, officemax, walmart, etc in the area.

That one isn't sold nearby. (Out of stock :( )

Guess I'll just go physically and check everything out.
