Hey, I'm looking for a bookbag / messenger bag (preferably a messenger bag, and looks something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Heavyweight-Classic-Canvas-Messenger-Travel/dp/B000KGDB8M/ref=pd_sbs_a_2_img/105-0937365-1510024?ie=UTF8&m=A22RHPO5L5UP06
The catch is... It has to be cheap. I'm not sure what the normal prices for bags are, but I'd definitely like something extremely cheap for bags (less than $30?).

oh, I forgot to mention; it's for my 15.4" Dell e1505.

    Thanks in advanced,
    HCanciano.

Any bag can work, provided it is big enough, and bags which are not computer bags are less likely to be stolen because of their probable contents. Bags specifically designed for computers have more built-in padding to protect the computer and some become quite bulky and heavy. The work-around is to buy a notebook sleeve to provide some padding and protection.

Personally, I find messenger bags less convenient to use because of the flap. A shoulder bag of similar dimensions with a zipper provides easier access to the contents.

    Hope this helps,

    John

two large plastic merchandise bags from WallyWorld...I know double bagging might be a tad extravagant but what the hey a fellah's gotta live now and then... ;)

If ya want/need to find somethign decent and cheap and have access to a Ross, Marshall's or TJMax you should check there...they actually get decent bags at great prices and you never know what they might have.

Oh, and any of the major department stores have their own outlets too...I have found steals at, of all places, Nordstrom Rack stores...things like $150 Timberland boots for $45 or Rockport $165 shoes for $35...

If ya do visit any of these stores...look near the luggage AND look in the area where they display purses. Many bags get stuck there because the clerk has no clue where they should go...my better half taught me that trick!!

You can also email sales at any bag maker asking about 2nds for a bag...seriously I know people who have found super deals that way...

I agree with John Ratsey. Bags that don't necessarily look like laptop bags are a good call. A sleeve is also a good call if you want protection but can't find a bag inexpensive enough for your budget. Found this site through another forum/thread here - check it out for messengers like - http://www.kolobags.com/product.php?productid=488&cat=8&page=1 - again, not "cheap" but at least cool and looks like it will fit!

I don't think I would recommend those as they're meant to hold books and other objects not easily damaged. You definitely want some protection for a laptop.

I also need some suggestions of backpacks or sleeves for my inspiron 6400. These info are helpful.
