Is this the right forum for this thread? If not, please move this thread.

I'm looking for some cheap stereo headphones to replace some old headphones that are branded "STEREO". (?) I don't want gaming headphones, some cheap headphones that are also ideal for music and have good sound quality. Microphone not necessary.

Do you want ones that go in your ears, over your ears, or on your ears?

And how much do you want to pay.

I would say the best on ear headphones are the SENNHEISER PX100 , great price and rave reviews.

The PX100's set on your ears, they don't actually go over them. You have to get something bigger like the HD280's if you want something that goes over. We need a price range so we can suggest the best headphones for you.

I would like to pay somewhere near $20.

I suggest listening to as many friends' headphones as possible and seeing what brands you like. Everyone has different shaped heads and hear things differently (prefer different frequencies). I love my Koss UR/29s and think they were a great deal for $20 on newegg (a year ago) thouugh. They are over the ear but im not sure if there are any pros to on ear to over the ear, correct me if Im wrong. Overs keep other people from hearing the music and are more comfy since a little pressure on your head is more comfortable than on your ears.

Seconded. I own a pair of these, and it's not going to get much better for $20.

I looked more and I found the Turtle Beach Ear Force SPC (which is surprisingly the model in the picture I posted above) and they only cost $15. Are they any good?

The Ear Force SPC costs under my budget, while the PX100 costs a lot more. My budget is $20.

As I said, I want some cheap headphones to replace my current ones which do not even have a branding.

You can find the PX100's for about 30$ which isn't far off your budget, and its worth paying a little more for the better headphone IMO.

PX100s, hands down. It even comes with a decent hardcase no larger than what a pair of glasses would get.

They actually cost $24, but oh well.

I think I'm going to buy the Ear Force X1, they get good reviews. Yes, they are a bit expensive, but since I'm getting an Xbox 360 in the future and my TV has bad sound, they will not cost as much as external speakers. :)

Put them on a box thats larger than your head for a day or so and it should help them loosen up.

koss porta pros. i bought mine for £14 here in the uk, which is $23.
they are direct competition with the sennheiser px100s, and i think they sound slightly clearer, but the bass of the sennheisers is "bigger" aka not as accurate, but more of it.
koss ksc 75 are also meant to be good.
all of these will plug into your tv headphone jack, but you wont get mike support.

$24? ridiculous! I got mine for $13 on amazon.com, and the manufacturer's price is $19.99 so no one should ever buy it for over $20.

I looked more, and I found the Sennheiser HD-457 headphones. Funilly, they appear on a picture in Acer eAudio Management in my laptop, so I thought they would be good.

There is also the cheaper HD-437, which comes in black instead of white and has a slightly lower sound frequency range.

    Are those headphones good?

I ordered the HD-457 headphones, and they arrived today.

They are a bit tight, but I'll soon get used to them. The bass is great, the highs are detailed and the mids are a bit harsh, but after lots of use, they should sound OK.

Overall, I'm very happy with those headphones. :) I recommend them, and my next headphones will definitely be Sennheiser again. They also come with a 2-year warranty.
