    Cheap and reliable external optical drive

    Can anyone recommend me a reliable external optical drive that is preferably below $40 USD? I can spend a maximum of $50, but not a cent more.

    Check Best Buy too. You might be able to get one on clearance. Walmart also has a couple of external DVD burners for around $30 to $40.

    Samsung SE-S084. There are a number of variants and they've changed over time, but I've never had any issues with any of them. Cheap too. Well under $50.
