What are the best 2.1 speakers I can get for around $30-40?

I have the Creative Inspire T3130, which I bought for $25 (MSRP $50). They're pretty good for the price. I also bought the Inspire T3100 a while back for $25 (MSRP $50), and they have a surprisingly powerful bass and nice dual-channel satellites for the price I paid. I recently saw the T3130 again for $25 (forgot where), but I haven't seen as good deals on the T3100.

    Logitech X-230.

Just got their bigger brother, the Z-2300, and it is amazing. Completely blew me away.

I second that, those are excellent given their price.

And I third the motion! X-230's are about as good as it's going to get around that price.

X-230 - got them - they are pretty good :)

Headphones/IEMs can beat them in the same price range, but in terms of speakers - great choice.

Just don't overdo it on the bass.

I think the X-230 has been discontinued :( At any rate, I can't find it online at the usual etailing suspects (everyone's either out of stock or simply stating that it's not carried anymore) and Logitech no longer lists it on their site.

Don't they? I had a look on Newegg, and it was deactivated. You may have to end up shelling out for the Z-2300...
