This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Cheap, Linux Compatible Webcam?

    So, I'm looking for a webcam, and don't want to break the bank on it (not yet sure that I'll really be using it all that often. The one issue is that I'd like it to be linux compatible, but, as I am dual booting, if there is a really great deal on one that isn't I guess I could just use Windows whenever I want to use the webcam. I will throw in the caveat that I'm somewhat technologically impaired, so simple is better. I'd love to know if anyone has suggestions, thanks!

    Most of the Logitech QuickCams will work fine in Linux
