Hello, as the title states im looking for a cheapest wireless mouse for my notebook that doesn't lag?
any suggestions
-
The only inexpensive wireless mouse I'd recommend is a Logitech M705 Marathon Mouse. About $35 from Amazon ( link).
You can go cheaper. A lot cheaper. All the way down to about $10, if you're willing to settle for cheap no-name knockoff brands. But you don't want those. Even if someone gave me one of those for free, I would throw it in the trash and still spend the $35 on a decent mouse. They will either have gigantic USB receivers that stick way out of the laptop; or will have a very cheap flimsy feel to them; or will fall apart in a few months because of poor craftsmanship.
I'd consider a Logitech M705 Marathon Mouse as the entry-point for any mouse worth owning. It's well-built, with great features, from a reliable computer accessory manufacturer. -
I agree with Kent 100%. I own a m705 and have absolutely no complaints. I've had it for about 15 months with no problems. I haven't even had to change the batteries. If you're looking for a quality mouse on a budget, it's definitely a good choice.

So its safe to assume it won't lag? and also its good enough for gaming? i'm not looking for the best, from the looks of it, it seems a very fine mouse to me.. just confirming it wont lag
-
Yes, it will be fine.
The days of wireless mice lagging is over. We had that 10+ years ago when wireless devices used RF wireless technology. But since most mice switched to 2.4Ghz wireless technology, you don't have that issue anymore. -
('course, the ultimate benefit of a short-running-on-charge, responsive wireless mouse should be weighed up with a wired mouse)
I personally wouldn't say the Marathon Mouse would be the best choice, but it's a decent regular mouse for sure. -
What do you suggest then? im going to do gaming on it so you believe m705 will delay movements assuming if i camp?
-
I was searching for a mouse and the mamba is very expensive so I think I will get this one
It is looks very nice!

i'm actually trying to go wireless with my laptop since i dont like wires
i'm not really going for top class performance, anything good will do but definitely if there are delays that will get me killed in FPS games. im not so sure -
If gaming is your main use for the laptop, you REALLY should go for a wired mics, if gaming is not the main use, go for the m705, if gaming and other use are equally important, I'd suggest you get a dual mode mice(quite expensive) or 2 mic(what I did), I personally own the razer taipan wired mouse for gaming and a random logitech wireless mouse I get for 15 GBP for working in the universiy library, mind you I do use a usb hub and cooling pad with cable management so I just dock my laptop when at home, plug in the HDMI cable and hub and BAAM i get a "desktop" with mechanical keyboard and gaming mice, and a 24 inch screen
-
Gaming is actually my main use but ofcourse browsing and other stuff aswell, i just don't like wires getting tangled up which happens often with my current setup of wired headset and wired mouse, not to mention that power wire
Thats why i just wanted to stick with a wireless mouse because wireless headsets are way more expensive then wireless mice -
Well you have to compromise somewhere. The Marathon is a decent mouse as I said, it's just not something I'd particularly pick for gaming.

in my experience, the compromise with wireless is too great with anything except the g700, which is expensive.
in short, there are no good cheap wireless gaming mice. -
Again, get the Logitech M705 Marathon Mouse for $35.
You can find a better wireless mouse.
You can find a cheaper wireless mouse.
But you cannot find a better, cheaper wireless mouse. -

I use it to play Skyrim, WoW, CoD, Diablo 3, and many others, and I have no complaints. IMHO, I think you'll be happy with it.

Btw.. What DPi does m705 have? -
Vogelbung overstated how serious the mouse-sleep problem is with this mouse when gaming. SOME wireless mice have aggressive sleep timers that are noticeable during gaming (e.g. Razer Orochi in bluetooth mode). However, the Logitech M705 sleep timer is long enough that you won't run into problems. When I travel for work, I exclusively bring a Logitech M705 Marathon mouse with me for both desktop application & evening gaming use in the hotel.
The Logitech M705 will behave and perform exactly as you would expect a mouse to perform. Except this one happens to be wireless. It is the only wireless mouse I have ever used (and I have used 15+ mice in a 12-month period) where you don't actually notice the disadvantages of wireless mice technology.
And the Logitech M705 has "good enough" DPI. Logitech doesn't explicitly say what the DPI is, but most people guess it's in the range of 1200 - 1600dpi. Again, that is more than enough for what you need, because DPI above 1600+ is an absolute waste. Even people who spend $130 on an 8600+ DPI wireless gaming mouse end up setting their DPI to about 1400-1600dpi max, and never go higher. -
Don't kid yourself. Pretty much every non-gaming wireless mouse that doesn't cost a lot of money is gonna lag to some degree. If you are a serious online FPS player or something then you will definitely want a wired mouse for the best performance. This is why professional gamers never use wireless mice. With that being said, I've found that entry-level wireless Logitech mice tend to have the least lag out of all the brands I've tried. The only wireless mice I've ever used where the lag was imperceptible were the Logitech G700 and G700S, but those carry a price premium.
