    Hey all,

I have a Sony Vaio CW, its a 14.1 inch laptop. I seem to be having massive difficulty choosing a suitable backpack to carry it in :(

It seems impossible to find a backpack that supports that size, and the ones I have found are insanely expensive. So instead i'm looking for a 15 inch backpack, the problem with this is that I get the feeling that if it isn't the right size, wouldn't the laptop be bouncing around inside (possible damage?). I would like somone to clarify if thats true or not.. the laptop is expensive and I want to keep it in the best condition possible.

Aside from that, can anyone recommend me a suitable backpack for this laptop size?

    thanks alot!

The easy option would be to get a 14.1'' notebook sleeve (commonly available) and then just pick any backpack you want. :) What sort of budget are you looking at?

I will pay if its a quality product... but I would like my budget to be rather low.. £20-30 perhaps?

I'm not sure how expensive the swissgear synergy is, but if it's in your price range, it fits my 14.1" laptop very well and the backpack is very well made. I've owned it for about 10 months now, and it looks exactly like the day I bought it.

You can find 14.1'' sleeves for £10 and below at play.com and amazon (UK). Then you have still got the bulk of your budget to find any backpack you like. :)

I got *this* one in White to match my CW. Although it's not a backpack, it does look and work well.

Thanks for pointing that make to me! never heared of them before.. I went the extra mile and threw a few extra pounds for the higher quality Swissgear :D

I looked at that case before as its a perfect match for my CW, unfortunately its $100 over here, also I am more tempted for a backpack, thanks for the find though!

Thank you all very much! I toke your recommendations with the backpack and the sleeve to give it the perfect fit, you guys are legendary!

Check this out. This is what I have now. It fit my Dell Inspiron 6400 (15.4") and currently I use it for my Dell Latitude E4300 (13.3").

If you can find it (as it is out of stock at Newegg), I'd definitely recommend this bag.
