Does anyone have a suggestion for a color printer? I'm looking for something cheap as I only need it to print b&w text 8.5"x11", small color logos/graphics on 8.5"x11" and 4x6 photos. Suggestions? Thanks! :)

I have a HP PSC 1410 all in one printer, scanner, copier. It was purchased for about $60 dollars almost an year ago. It's actually a great printer for the price(It was on sale at the time) a simple search shows them retailing $80+ at the moment.

Hmmm. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check it out. How is it on ink?

Today, my buddy just told me the Canon MP 470 all-in-one is pretty good.

To tell you the truth, I rarely use it. I've printed 20 pages max in the past year so I can't really comment on the ink part. The Canon MP 470 does look pretty nice, I like the ability to print directly from your camera/mobile/memory card.

if you want some good direction on printers, take a look at the reviews both www.pcmag.com and www.pcworld.com have. from what I've seen, ever since Canon released their Pixma line, they're dominating the market.

just one word of advice...buy a printer that has separate ink cartridges. 4 is the minimum (black, yellow, red, magenta) with some of the supremo printers going up to 6 or more cartridges for color accuracy. in any case, what you save on ink buying is worth the extra cost that printer has as instead of having to buy a $40 - $60 ink cartridge when you run out of just one color, you can buy the $20 color specific cartridges.

if you're interested, while one of those will cost you $100ish, you should be able to find a color laser sitting in the $200 margin from Samsung I think. instead of paying $0.10 - $0.30 per page in ink costs, you'll be sitting at $0.03 or so! :)

Are you serious?! That is quite a difference in the cost per page if you print a bit, which I would be for business. $0.03 per page for color laser? I may have to look into that if I can find a reasonably priced color laser printer :)
