Hey,
I'm looking at new computer speakers and can't really find anything that sparks my interest. Then I stumbled upon a product that would certainly help me get exactly what I want: component amplifiers which would allow me to choose my own speakers.
Can anyone direct me in the direction to more products like this one (focus on the Lars & Ivan Hybrid Power Amp)?
No, it doesn't need to be tube, it doesn't need an iPod dock (I have a Zune so go figure), 2-channel is good, should be somewhat compact as I want it to be placed on my desk, and hopefully not too expensive.
I haven't seen many of these so I don't have my hopes way up, but if anyone has any ideas, I would greatly appreciate it!
If this fails, I'm looking into using an aftermarket car head-unit to power a set of custom-boxed car speakers. May not be the most cost effective, but it'd be a fun project for me assuming everything checks out.
Thanks.

I'm using a Cambridge Azur 540a, You can find them new for 300$ shipped if you look hard enough. IMO they are the best looking integrated amps on the market, and they sound good.
